Also, I have noticed a lot of unneccessary backlash which her design because of her design, calling it 'generic, bland, and cliche.' And yes, they complain about that without taking into consideration that sexual dimorphism also exists in real life. I get if you were always in the Spyro fandom, flooded with OCs all the time, but it's based on the real life occurrence. While it could be cliche, it's how it is worked by the people in charge that matters more. And don't forget the movie didn't come out, so there is no telling on what kind of character she may be and we have very little info about her, other than "elusive and untamed," which, much to people's ignorance, can be used as a call to Toothless from the wild, and I like that because it reminds us that yes, Toothless is still a dragon with prominent animalistic instincts. People can play off the "elusive and introverted" trait off well and it makes sense here, since she IS among the last of her kind, hunted down by humans, so of course she would act that way. It makes a bit more sense with animals than humans, after all. I'm sick of people harshly judging characters by only appearances when the movie, comic, show, episode, etc. didn't even air, release, or get posted yet. I may seem like I may be a hypocrite for not liking the new ThunderCats reboot, but I judge the art style, not the characters themselves since I have no experience with the series, so I don't have much to say. But here is the best solution for your dislike towards the design of characters or stories:
If you don't like it, make your own version or fan fiction or AU, or just shut up with your whining ignorance about a fictional character and leave.

And here is the most stupid part of the backlash.

The heterosexual backlash

Oh BOY the tables have turned with this. While some people bash on gay couples or just don't simply like them while tons of people do, NOW people are foaming at the mouth with the fact that Toothless has a female mate and not a male one and accusing the gay director for "pushing their heterosexual agenda." Okay WHAT THE HELL? Do you really think your backlash will make your LGBTQ cult look any better at all? It doesn't. To be honest, the reveal really revealed the worst sides of that community. Dude, you have Gobber, isn't that good enough for you? Apparently not because "REPRESENTATION YAY." Dude, if you want to do that, make your own stories. Don't rely on others to do FOR you. The backlash has so much stupidity that the fact that those people are acting heterophobic towards a FICTIONAL CHARACTER makes more problems for themselves. What made you so pissed off and pathetic and miserable that it led you to downright HATE hetero relationships? The problems you have that led up to it may be the same problems people face towards gays, so you're no better with the stupid backlash. If you have a problem with it, don't go making petitions to make Toothless gay. Instead, recommend gay characters for a new movie to Dreamworks if you can, so it doesn't shatter their revenue overseas or just learn to appreciate how it is. I'M ALSO LOOKING AT YOU, GAY!ELSA-NERS.

If a character is bi, fine. If they are gay, fine. If they are straight, this is ALSO fine. There should be no reason for hate for either side.
Now, keep in mind that I am NOT against LGBTQ. I support their rights, BUT I should be able to support my own opinions withOUT being belittled and mocked by that cult. I called it a cult because it apparently made itself appear like one and act like such. Like I am bi, but I don't see myself as part of their community because once I open my mouth about anything in it, I KNOW I'm going to be HEAVILY shamed and my head would be off my neck faster than the Red Queen screaming "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!" So how the community acted in the recent years gave me a bad taste in my mouth when I just started to get used to them and just started to give up most of my homophobic views.

Phew. Finally got that out of my system.

I'll be planning to draw a picture of me hugging the Light Fury as a support artwork. I have heard in the books that Toothless' name was named "Luna," and I hope that is used for her name, if she ever gets one. If not that one, then maybe Star, Sol, Shooting Star, Flash, Sung Glare, etc. I have heard some people joking about her looking like a Beluga, and I wonder if she would be called that. It would be nice, but I doubt will be actually used. But maybe thing's could change.

Also, did I already mention that I love this Light Fury?
