Description Triton

Amalgamation of: Aquaman + Thor

Real Name: Thorin Atldin-son

Alias: Dr. Arthur Blake

Biography: Beneath the waves of the ocean laid a city of marble and silver, where the great brave warriors surpassed their mortal bodies to possess stronger and more adaptable ones. Anthallan (Atlantis + Valhalla) is the name of this wondrous city, only acceptable to the gods and the warriors whom inhabit the city and the ‘lands’ around it. However the king of Anthallan could not produce a child with his wife. The high god Jorlan took pity on Queen Frelanja (Freya + Atlannta) and impregnated her with a child. To hide her child pregnancy from her husband, she hid away in a secluded alcove off the coast of Maine, on her seclusion she came to befriend a lighthouse keeper by the name of Tom Blake (Tom Curry + Blake surname). She became very close friends with Tom, going as far as telling him who she really was, whether he truly believed her or not. When she did give birth to her child she returned to Anthallan, but her husband was not so welcoming. He immediately spotted the child’s blonde hair, proclaiming it as a curse. The husband forcibly exiled and left the child to die, but to the public it was proclaimed as a miscarriage. In his early childhood Thorin was raised by a very rare species of Atlantic Orcas. Even though he was adopted he was forced to move on after his adopted mother and brother were killed by fishers. He eventually wound up at the lighthouse under the safe keeping of Tom Blake. Tom took the child in, raising him as his own, but Tom knew what the child actually meant as a whole. He was a god, Tom would at least try and raise him with humility and morality. Over two decades had passed since Thorin washed on shore under the care of Tom, and his actions that day would cement his place. He spotted a group of fisherman hunting a pod of Orcas, the same pod he had been raised by. Thorin could not possibly take down the fishermen himself, but he could. He was able to take out half a crew’s worth of fishermen by himself before being overwhelmed. In his desperation he raised his hand to block an incoming punch, he however received a massive smack to his hand. In his hand was a large mace, gold. The power he felt radiating from it felt right. His body seemed to accept the energy had given off, he felt stronger, faster, new senses in him unlocked, and a surge of otherworldly energy was felt inside him. Thorin went on destroy the fishermen’s boats and save his adopted family. When he returned home, his adopted father filled him in on the full story, Thorin’s real name, his origins, his mother, and the reasoning why the golden mace in his hand came to him. After Tom informed his adopted son of everything he knew, Thorin told his father he had to return back home to confront his family, but he stilled considered Tom his true father. Thorin began his trek back to Anthallan through the various features of the ocean. When he returned back to Anthallan he was amazed at its site, though he made an instinctual b-line to the palace where upon reaching the throne room he saw his mother and father, both shocked at his appearance. However seated in a third seat was another, looking much like his father. His half-brother, Orki (Loki + Orm). King Odvin (Odin + Trevin) was angered by Thorin holding the Mace of Poseidon, as only the those deemed worthy enough to rule as the new king of Anthallan could even have the possibility of even holding the Mace, let alone use it. King Odvin could not banish Thorin again, for he knew trouble would arise from the many inhabitants from Anthallan, many would call for Orki to be ousted, and Odvin would fall out of popularity. So he settled on a simple duel between his two sons, for all of Anthallan to see. Both competitors were given a week to prepare, Odvin was confident that Orki would win the duel. Orki was taught by the best teachers in all of Anthallan, as any king would do to his son. Thorin however, was taught by a scientist, though this scientist knew how the Mace of Poseidon worked, and spent the entire week teaching Thorin how to use it in combat and how to tap into the Mace’s power. When the day of the duel came, many expected Orki to outright beat this unknown Thorin. Many that day were shocked, especially Odvin. Thorin had trounced Orki easily in the fight, Orki’s barbed spear was rendered useful in the first move of the fight by Thorin striking down on his half-brother’s silver weapon and shattering the upper half of the weapon. After the duel many of Anthallan heralded Thorin as the true successor to Odvin, him wielding the Mace of Poseidon only confirmed it for many. Though Odvin was still in power, Thorin had secured his place as future king, but he was left to wait for his father to pass. In this time he would spend his duties as both a champion of Anthallan and a guardian to the land above. Called Thorin by his peers and those of Anthallan, but Triton above the waves. Triton, the Prince of the Oceans.
