Decided to start making custom pony figures from the new MLP movie. I actually partied with Songbird one night with a bottle of Rootbeer, and we bonded quite well I grew attached to her the night after I crafted her xD
But now, it’s time for her to spread her wings and venture off to a new home!
Her pony base is one of the new generation 4.5’s out in the stores with the bobbily-like heads. The wings are from a different generation 4 princess figure. Tempest is a generation 4 Princess Celestia base and I cut the horn down quite a bit. Both figures are coated in gesso. Sia has full body repaint in lemon chiffon yellow acrylics, Tempest has a custom hand blended body color of acrylics. Eyes and cutiemarks painted in acrylics also, all paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Sia’s mane and tail is all textile trims stitched together. Yellow half is yellow tassels, and the black half is is a trim used for scarf materials. Wide magenta bow tied for the back of her head, her microphone headset is wire and a black bead. Top is hand stitched faux black vinyl with gold metallic rhinestones.
Tempest’s mane and tail is rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in a custom blend of heartthrob and love potion. Permanently styled/hardened in hair gel method.
Her bodysuit armor started out as a hand stitched under-layer of faux black vinyl and the back and neck pieces are a thick black faux vinyl. Thick navy blue leather with black vinyl glued around it for the flank and shoulder armor, painted in acrylics over top.
