Description
The Alison Lapper statue in Trafalgar Square. Alison was born without arms, and a dwarfed pair of legs. She is an artist, and inspired her friend, Marc Quinn, to make the sculpture of her. Apparently it's pretty controversial, and people want it replaced with another statue. I'd assume people want it removed because of the nudity--but, you have to view it from an artistic perspective. I mean...I haven't heard of anyone complaining about the naked women plastered all over the ceiling in Windsor Castle. Meh. I don't know. It's their square, let the British do with it as they choose.Also--sorry for the bad quality of this shot. There was a dirty bus window between the subject and I.
