Description
That's right. Even Google thinks so.I am aware that some people are very sensitive about their opinions being conflicted with. Please know that I am not telling you that you are wrong in liking Twilight. I'm simply using this as my outlet to voice my own opinion.
NOW. I know that, despite this gracious warning, some Twilight Extremist will scream and yell and throw a hissy-fit over this. I know because I used to be that way. I'm simply going to say that you are wasting your breath and time trying to convince me to change my opinion. I won't.
I have been badgered to read the book.
I read the book.
And then my brain shut itself down, begging me to know what it did to deserve this horrid treatment.
That was around Chapter 4.
I have spared my brain, and I will not read any farther.
I do, however, know the gist of what happens in the book via scanning pages, reviews, and crazed ex-friends.
I will not read the rest of the book because I love my brain and I need it to stay healthy for later years.
Also, if the beginning four chapters weren't any good, then why would the rest of it be? So don't demand it of me.
If you choose to completely ignore me and rant rant rant all the live-long day about how stupid, retarded, ugly, uncool, and pathetic you think I am, then this is my final warning:
Do it.
We'll see how long you last on my turf.
Oh, and one more thing. Don't claim that I'm trying to tell you how to live, or what to like. Don't tell me that I'm saying you have no right to voice your opinion. You can. You can tell me exactly where I should shove this deviation; so long as you do it in a semi-reasonable, sane, and - at the very least - polite way. I respect people who can check themselves at the door and speak up in a calm fashion. I will happily debate with you.
Trolls, however, will be shot on sight.
Consider yourself warned.
But besides that, I hope this brings other Anti-Twilight fans a smile. Maybe even a laugh. No worries; you guys are (mostly) safe for my wrath.
EDIT: This screen shot was originally made for FaceBook's "Pieces of Flair" Application. If you have a FB and use Flair, then you can find the "Even Google..." flair button there, too.

I hate twilight too, even though I have never seen it or read it!
my reasons are:
* all the annoying screaming fangirls
* having to put up with listening about it from my sister

Okay.
My google image actually did say, "Why can't I own a Canadian?" I don't know where that came from, but it made many a person in my immediate vicinity chuckle.

Google is a lot of fun. With some searches, they actually will ask if you meant something along the lines of epic fail.

If you want to read it, then that's fine. Just keep in mind that 'opular' doesn't always mean 'good'. Exhibit A: weed. Exhibit B: texting while driving.
I'm just saying.

I'd get a note from my parents saying that I'm not allowed to watch such fail. Or, I'd bring in Rifftrax and demand that the teacher play them with the movie.

I warn you! The riffers can't even save this movie from the fail it is - it still hurts to watch. Now, Eragon! Or E-ragon as we call it, that is a good comedy with the Rifftrax. I've never seen Eragon without Rifftrax. I can't help calling it E-ragon, myself. The original Erragon (with two Rs) for me was in Anne McCaffrey's The Skies of Pern. Master Astronomer Erragon.

Erragon was probably better than the film Eragon.

I'm sorry, but I'm not judging the films. I'm talking about the whole damn series, which I see to be utter bullshit. Just me, though. If you do not agree with me, the Back Button still works.

Genius! I read the whole thing, was obsessed, and then I read it again. And realized how small Stephenie Meyer's vocab is, and decided to also spare my brain.

I'm never going to read Twilight (I don't do the vampire thing, sparkles or not), but from all the bad press I'd been seeing for Meyer I figured that her writing must be something like that of a six-year-old fanfic writer.
But then a friend lent me "The Host," which is a book she wrote a couple of years ago about parasitic aliens taking over the world. I was expecting something horrific, but was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was quite well written! The prose were solid, the characters were compelling, and the story was a refreshing look at an old theme. Apart from a few scenes that read kind of like a Harlequin romance (rolls eyes heavenward), I've got to say that I honestly enjoyed it, and really wish they'd forget about Twilight and make a movie about this one.
Still, she did write this one years after she wrote the first Twilight book, so it's possible that her writing has improved.
So I'm not a hater. I'm actually a bit of a fan of Meyer, though not of Twilight.

I've never tried the book myself, but hearing about it from people who were totally ga-ga over it really put me off. Also, I've heard that the main character, Bella, is a real Mary-Sue. Didn't want to touch it after that.

Probably not; I doubt she feels any shame. Even so, Meyer needs to realize exactly what she wrote and why it's bad for the girls reading it.
