Diagrams was the first to settle down, tucking close to the handler and doing his best to shield her from the cold wind. The wild female settled down on the other side and sighed - looking one more time at the human's face. With a whine she laid her head on her paws and stared out at the landscape. It would be a long night and there was no guarantee that the human would even wake up in the morning.

She shifted her gaze over to the black half mane. She knew what he was - a mediator, a peacekeeper. Her many years in the wild had seen through several of his type come through and even some of her own packmates leave with them and their human escort. She may have remained to help keep this tamer alive but she certainly had no intention of being tamed.
