Yeah, you're 100% right about that being something that was far less than ideal. The way I had the scene set up at first it would have been obscured so you couldn't actually see her fall, but by the time I had changed the camera angle I would have needed to redo a ton of work, so I just decided to leave it. You're right that it looks very cheap though.
If I do something similar in the future I'll try to make a more convincing falling stance and not just have her randomly fall over out of nowhere.
