Description 4x 21x21cm collages on canvas.

last two on the right went on to become the large final photocopied pieces.

strange question, but what price would you pay per canvas? £
i need to start getting used to letting go of work in exchange for paper with numbers on.

it depends what galleries you're letting represent you but i would try to stay in a price range similar to paintings being sold. you should definitely be selling upwards of 30 euro... even if they are small.

I was planning on just getting a few pieces in a bar to start with, so 25-30 was about the price i was thinking.

if i didn't make collages myself, i'd be willing to pay around 30 quit per piece - you should definitely not give them away for less

I would like to know how u start these works? U think of a concept, or do you just start cutting and see how it ends?
I think a piece, especially these kind of works, should have a nice thought behind it, so it gets more velue than just a cut&glue work.
Don't get me wrong, I really like it.

Working hours
+Material expenses
+Creative thought (Not everybody is creative so I think people should respect that and see it as a higher velue of the piece)
RICE

But in the end you should see what people are willing to pay. If it appeals u can go higher on the price. If not, you probably have to go lower.

I think You shouldn't sell them over 25,- euro's a piece
That would be a good start. They are not so huge so.
But it also depends on the audience you'd like to attract.

I normally start with some images, then The pieces are influenced by my surroundings and general mood, music etc. but the imagery used is important in my more recent work, as they are chosen to create a certain atmosphere in the picture, something which grows and changes as the piece comes together.

sorry so late replying, not been around.
alot of the imagery i use is from fashion magazines. I'd say recently i get most images from a free magazine called 'Vice' which you can usually pick up in small record stores, or if not try your nearest trendy skate shop type place. It's hard to find things that are perfect for collages, so the best thing to do is collect anything you see that may come in handy or catches your eye.
