Part 1/2 of my entry for contract "Intercept a traitor".PART 2
I intended to redraw some of the panels but it got me so irritated I left it how it was. Hope you'll enjoy nonetheless

There were certainly alot of books in Masyaf, so maybe the Assassin Order taught them how to read. Or maybe he learnt how to read after the events of Asscreed1 in his free time.
Also the bureu Assassins were always drawing up maps and had their own mini library.
They were all born into the order.
Ezio on the other hand just sorta... picked up random peeps off the streets. So I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of them were illiterate. Especially since Templars and other bad guys would close down the shops and other facilities.
If my memory serves I remember some of the targets in the first game was burning all written text, I'm sure Jubair did little to help their education.
Altair could deffinately read and write, not to sure about his drawing abilities tho xD
