Description
This is the first story I ever wrote for Claire (And the first picture she ever drew for me) and one of my all time favorites. I think it totally captures just how naive and inexperienced this coyote kid is when it comes to socializing with others, and how bold and outgoing Claire is, making friends with random strangers.

Young as he is, Chaos is trying to figure out juuuust how he feels about her, but it's pretty obvious he's got a mega crush on her. We are talking a serious case of Puppy love, BAAAA~AAAAAD! X3

Chaos growled quietly, peering at the endless row of electronics that stretched into the distant horizon. The super-mega-ultra-mega-super mart that had recently opened was anything but convenient, and he briefly surmised, that now that he was sufficiently lost, he'd be doomed to wander the endless halls for eternity. Trapped within an urban jungle of unbeatable prices and glorious savings, meandering aimlessly through house ware and starving somewhere near lingerie. The young coyote puppy gave a grimly over dramatic sigh and drew his wrist to his head and spun around once.

"It's just too much for me to bare! I'm never going to get home! I'm never going to see Pandora...or Calamity, or Catastrophe, ever again!" The puppy squealed; visions of his family dancing in his thoughts before collapsing onto his back and staring into sky of florescent lighting fixtures- isle 19485 only 99.99.

"Allo!"A voice quipped from somewhere directly above him, causing Chaos's eyes to widen in shock, and his fur to charge with the electric static of surprise. That was followed by the soft chime of a giggle and a warm smile. A female giggle. Suddenly he was staring into a pair of gentle hazel eyes and a pink paw wrapped around his fuzzy one, tugging him to his feet. It finally happened. He knew it would sooner or later- cannibals.

Chaos took a nervous step back, looking over his captor with the over active imagination of a young toon, and gawked at what he saw. She was somewhat similar to him in size, age as well, with the gentle features and beginning curves of a beautiful young woman. The thing of course, that stood out about her the most; was her complete and total lack of fur. By the power of Grey skull, she was naked! Well, not totally naked. She had a long, bright alabaster streak that rolled down her back from the top of her head, in a punk Mohawk fashion. A skunk...

His mouth opened a moment, but nothing tumbled out, and she gave that beautiful chime of a giggle again, reaching out to clutch his frozen paw and give it a hardy shake. She had the bright eyes of young innocence and the strong voice of somebody who had been caressed with adventure's touch.

"It iz good to meet someone in here! I 'ave been trapped for DAYS!" She giggled, clearly teasing him about his dramatic over reaction only a few moments ago. The coyote boy blushed darkly; his ears folding back as he tried to get his lips working once again. Nothing spilled forth.

"Ahhh, ze strong and ze silent type. Je suis Claire, and I zeek ze long lost and mysterious treasure of ze fruit snacks! Perhaps, zhey are here...perhaps zey are zare...who knows. "The skunk girl grinned, reaching a delicate set of fingers up to adjust a pair of goggles atop her brow and onto her eyes. She glanced Chaos over once and then gave a squeal of joy when she noticed a very similar pair resting atop of his head.

"OH! You have ze explorer goggles as well?! Tres magnifique!! We are siblings in ze hunt!" She giggled fondly and tugged the goggles from the stunned coyote's ears. She looked them over a few moments, before she exchanged them with her own, smiling a bright, glorious, glittering smile, and pulled them over her eyes.

"Oooooooo! Zhey are no ordinary goggles! Zhey are ze goggles of ze expert explorer in zis 'orrible place! Take zis, it iz dangerous to go alone. "She beamed, thrusting her goggles into Chaos' fingers, and giggled when the boy just stood there, stunned. She wrapped his fingers around the straps and took a step back.

"Ahh, ze expert adventurer iz lost in ze deep thought of iz next big treasure to find! Tres bon! Perhaps we shall meet at ze famed location of ze fruit snacks! Adeu petite coyote! May you find ze treasure that you seek!" She giggled quietly, and bounded away, naked pink tail waggling back and forth, with Chaos' goggles snuggling wrapped around her forehead. Chaos simply stared in awe for a few more moments, before he nervously placed a paw in the air.

"H, Hi. I'm...C,C,Chaos..." His voice squeaked quietly, but she was long gone. Giving a yelp of dismay, Chaos looked around wildly, ripping past isles left and right, but the skunk girl was nowhere to be found. He'd lost her...and his goggles. He fell to his knees, thrusting his fists into the air violently.

"CURSE YOU SUPER MEGA ULTRA MEGA SUPER MART!! CURSE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!" He hollered, but the Super mega ultra mega super mart did not return his challenge. Sadly, the puppy pulled himself to his knees and eventually found his way to the checkout counter. He'd managed to find what he came into the store to buy- but left with nothing that he wanted.
