This is probably my favorite scene the story. There are no accusations, no lies, no arguing. It's just two friends being honest with one another. Anna is understandably nervous and feeling guilty but she really does want Basil to know the truth. Meanwhile, Basil genuinely wants to help her and patiently listens even though he doesn't understand half of the things she says about her world.---
