The tree is the biggest reason for the lush nature and biodiversity of Linphea. It's in complete symbiosis with the planet. It feeds on the sap flowing to it through the water and from the core of the planet itself. By doing so it also releases huge waves of magic periodically, making the nature stronger and the planet starts producing more sap. And the cycle continues. Without the Tree of Shimmering Flowers, the nature and fauna of Linphea would not be anything extraordinary, without any (or just little) magical features.

It floats in the middle of the ocean. It's protected by many different things, like selkies, ocean beasts, the extremely poisonous flowers, luminous wisps etc. It's pretty much protected by the whole realm.

Every year the tree drops flowers it has gotten it's name from. Those flowers can be used in many powerful potions and are often used in healing and alchemy. The flowers die within a week they have landed on the shore, so the time period to collect them all is short.

It's so large it can't be seen even from Lymphea, even though it's located so far to the ocean
