I actually hope they pull a *moth life cycle* bit where the egg this time is tiny (like maybe the size of a bowling ball)....as opposed to somehow as big as Mothra is...
and someone finds it, it hatches into a tiny caterpillar that eats...and eats...and eats some more, till it grows to the size of a mini-mall, forms a cocoon, and comes out smaller than the caterpillar form (body wise) as that's how moths and butterflies are....but those wings are going to be insane.
I also hope Mothra gets more power than her original form/SOS/Final Wars,
but not as much as the Rebirth of Mothra series, something just shy of the Heisei era, so we get the "divine creature" feel and not just "giant moth".

yes...and while incredibly unlikely, they could have worked it into Skull island, or similar backstory, explorer on an island finds the egg brings it back to civilization, it takes decades to hatch, maybe even while in a museum, but then breaks free and starts eating, constantly moving, not noticed till it is huge.

Mothra raises a good argument. He's in at least 1/3 of Godzillas' movies. It's practically in the contract...along with Rodan an King Ghidorah...WHERE'S ANGUIRIUS?! I just realized they ignored Anguirius.

Gojira aside. Mothra, Rodan and Ghidora are the three most popular Kaijus that stem from Japan. I hope that clears things up.

Maybe he will. 2018 is still three years away. That's a long time to hash out Easter eggs. Look at the first one. We saw shades of the big three in it. The origami terrasaurs, the Chinatown dragon display and Mothra by name. Who's to say we won't see more of the same in part two?
