this is really good - i am currently working on a piece i was gonna call the "Nuevo-Mantis", it being in the same sort of design as my other work... pointless, yes - but still rather fun

looks good, your sense of anatomy is good and i like the colouring.

To make it better, i would say that you could have used a more dynamic perspective- mantis looking down at the viewer would look good, as the scene is at eye level doesn't suit the character and makes the picture look a bit plain.

Another thing i would suggest would be to maybe throw in some darker shadows to the background and possibly paint some scratch textures etc on the walls, to reflect the creepiness of mantis.

but i love the rendering on his clothing

I think this looks incredible! Plus it's Mantis.. he's so neat and creepy, which, makes him neat.
