For the "Adventure" contest. Didn't see the contest until the last minute but I just couldn't resist! Unfortunately the entry is kinda rushed...My idea was that Zuko became Mr. Completely-All-Work-And-No-Play after becoming Firelord, so Toph goes and drags him out of the palace. They go search for Ursa, and Toph finally gets the life-changing adventure she never got with him in the original series. In this piece, they're chilling out, taking a little breather from fighting enemies and whatnot. I would have loved to do a series of illustrations, but alas, not enough time.
Decided to experiment with new techniques and practice more landscapes. So this is part digital and part traditional. Was trying to go for a more traditional look and feel. Boy, that was really hard. *_*

Yes! Toph should totally help Zuko look for his mom. And Toph would finally get her field trip with Zuko too~ Let's just hope when 'The Search' comes out that'll happen x3

Ah! Someone mentioned this to me a while ago. I've been meaning to redraw Toph's foot ever since but kept forgetting. Thank you for the reminder, I've finally fixed that foot!

this would make a perfect wall scroll had they been much smaller and the nature around them much larger. I enjoy this piece you almost capture the feeling of those landscapes in the scroll.
