So there's this Chinese folktale that my mom used to tell my brother and me. In the story, this lady's husband brings home a magic flower and tells her not to eat it. However, the lady's curiosity gets the better of her--she eats the flower and feeds some to her pet rabbit. They two of them start floating into the sky until they are too high for the husband to pull back down to Earth. The lady and her rabbit are stuck on the moon, and every year on the Chinese Lunar Holiday, people eat "mooncakes" to pay their respects to them.

Also, I watched the Pixar short "La Luna" the other day, so I guess all these moon-related things inspired me to draw this?
