When we get our IchiRuki reunion, I can see Ichigo being like “OMG you got bankai and took down As Nodt you’re not hurt are you” and Rukia being like “You idiot. Of course I’m fine.” And then cuddles because he has to help her melt. Took some liberties with their outfits, but dat bankai is beautiful and was fun to draw.

i might just have to check those out. i read the first dozen or two volumes of bleach a few years ago, but i stopped. i can't remember why because i remember it being pretty good. i just finished sword art online and before that i rewatched fullmetal alchemist, both of which i recommend. i've watched/read lots more though.

You should! I know Bleach is long, but it's really good. I have never come across a couple quite like Ichigo and Rukia (nor have I shipped a ship so hard before, haha). There's a reason why Bleach is one of the "Big 3" (in my opinion at least!)
I usually get pissed off at most shoujo because I hate a lot of common shoujo tropes (i.e. weak/helpless/Mary Sue-ish female characters, the guy's a womanizing douchebag, pointless love triangles, etc.) but Akagami no Shirayukihime definitely does not have those. The female lead is smart (she's a pharmacist--woohoo for fellow females in STEM fields!), brave, and compassionate and her love interest is actually a respectful gentleman. Plus there are quite a few other strong female characters (the leader of a pirate gang and the prince's aide/swordsperson are two other well-written females). It's also a pretty short read, seeing as it's only 52 chapters and hasn't been updated in over a year (whhyyyy LET ME DIE).
I haven't heard of Sword Art but I should give it a try! I just googled it and art looks really cool. Fullmetal Alchemist is my roomie's favorite, I really should watch that too when I get the chance. Do you prefer a particular genre of anime/manga?

big 3? naruto, bleach, and...attack on titan? or one piece? or death note?
i like shounen because i'm a sucker for action, but i do need the occasional shoujo to make my heart melt/bleed. not too often though because i too get sick of the female stereotypes. that's my least favorite thing about anime, by far. it's hard to find one without any of that junk. i'm going to check out Akagami no Shirayukihime next though because that sounds awesome.
sword art online has an excellent concept, but i wouldn't recommend season 2.

Oh, by Big 3 I mean Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece! But Attack on Titan is pretty popular too. Mikasa is my bb and also a badass and I ship Eremika pretty hard. I haven't read Death Note but my brother and my roomie really like it.
Haha, yeah me too. I prefer shounen in general because like you said, a lot of the shoujo tropes piss me off. You should! Akagami no Shirayukihime is so adorable, your heart will definitely melt. XD (Sent me a message on tumblr or something when you read it and we can fangirl together).

attack on titan was good, but a bit too sad for me. they just kept killing off my favorite characters. ;A;
and season 2 of sword art online just isn't as good plot-wise, and they make his sister/cousin a love interest. it was weird.
