In this journal we're going to talk about how to draw anything by learning to look at things in 3D and breaking them down into simple shapes, like this!

Do you have a long bus ride to school? Boring classes or tedious days at work? Just too much time to spare?
This is a perfect opportunity to improve as an artist! Whenever you find yourself with nothing better to do: stare. I mean it.
Stare at people, stare at things, stare at your hands, study them - how will your fingers bend and how will they not? How do your clothes fold?
Squint and notice the contours of things, break it down and think of the object's individual shapes, for example: what shapes do we find in a table?

1. Head shape
These two head shapes would fit most characters, but there are of course many more.
So, step 1 - Is your character's head more shaped like Sebastian's or Ciel's?
Hint: girls tend to lean towards Ciel's head shape & men tend to lean towards Sebastian's.
Pick one and follow the walk-through to draw a head.

2. Eyes
I usually draw the top and bottom line of the eye first (lines 2 & 4 in the tutorial).
These lines will look different depending on which character I'm drawing.
For example, Sebastian's eyes are thin and the top line is slanted towards his nose.
Ciel's eye's are the complete opposite - big and slanted the other way.
