An old-fashioned Bri-chan -style Reggie sketchdump, 'cause I need the practice.I really like Reg in his milliner's getup. It's not real clear what he's doing -- working a hat form with a brush. My sister liked his "sexy hatmaking gloves", which I stole from Noodle (of Gorillaz).

i swear i see more of hatter in ure gallery than hers....and that's why i keep comin back. My lecturer says it looks like he's installing a mind control device in someone's hat....she watched too many of those old Bruce Timm batman cartoons.
personally i'm loving sulky Reggie with the mug of beer. makes a good opening scene for noir style fan fic.

THESE ARE ALL FABULOUS. It's weird to see him calm, and also in deep concentration. The suspense! Definitely love the glowering look, and the one of his just smiling, awwww.

My sister and I agree that we LOVE to see characters out of their elements. Like... Murdoc being fatherly. Jareth being goofy. Reggie being... reserved.

when I first saw this pic it was 3:50 am and my insomnia was finally giving up, so I was half sleepy, my first thought was "when I began watching Bri-chan? uh?" ...."pretty" ...."solve mystery tomorrow"
you have done a wonderful work mastering Bri-chan's style -though in cleaner lines- and her characters. this Reggie guy is a lucky fellow to have two talented artists doing portraits of him.

I disagree with the comment on the first page. I don't think you've "adapted" Bri-Chan's style at all. You draw him in very much your own style. And it's always respectfully done and very much suited to the Hatter! It's wonderful!
Anyway! This is adorable! I love how you draw chins! And hands. And everything. I wonder how many times Hatter refilled that tiny teacup!

Thank you, and I appreciate the sentiment. I want to try to get Reggie as close to Bri's style as I can, when it's necessary. But it's good to know there's still my style in there.

I'd actually say your Reggie looks a bit younger than mine. But it's a very cute-snuggly-I-wanna-put-him-in-my-pocket-adorable-younger. The scary thing is that I have a doodle VERY similar to the bottom left one.
