Description
Labyrinth stole the kingdom of my heart, kicked the doors down, slaughtered innocent bystanders and overthrew the monarchy. It was a mess. I'm still recovering.Flagrant abuse of symbolism here, the basic message being that Sarah owns the King's heart, and sometimes she's careless with it. But how could she know? It isn't fair.
The Goblin King had NO intention of letting me draw him. It was a fight, and he was pissed, but I wrestled him down. Next time, I'm sure, won't be any easier.
This is a Christmas present for my Mom, who called dibs on it when she saw the sketch. (Love you, Mom.) But it's dedicated to , whose art (and especially her Labyrinth art) makes my heart puddle.

Listening to "Fix You" by Coldplay and seeing this brings new meaning to the Lyrics. It's amazing how a drawing can do that, but yours always do. I love this and its symbolism. Pure beauty.

You want to hear a secret? Almost all the time, I listen to one song on repeat when I'm drawing, and it influences the drawing. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of Coldplay's "Twisted Logic", which went with this one.
