Description
Labyrinth stole the kingdom of my heart, kicked the doors down, slaughtered innocent bystanders and overthrew the monarchy. It was a mess. I'm still recovering.Flagrant abuse of symbolism here, the basic message being that Sarah owns the King's heart, and sometimes she's careless with it. But how could she know? It isn't fair.
The Goblin King had NO intention of letting me draw him. It was a fight, and he was pissed, but I wrestled him down. Next time, I'm sure, won't be any easier.
This is a Christmas present for my Mom, who called dibs on it when she saw the sketch. (Love you, Mom.) But it's dedicated to , whose art (and especially her Labyrinth art) makes my heart puddle.

I've loved this movie since I was little and my mom had me watch it (She's a huge fan of Brian Froud, and has a total crush on David Bowie as The Goblin King). Can't even count how many times I've watched it now, having showed it to every one of my friends. Seeing fanart this beautiful of such a wonderful film, made me melt.

I was worried that the heart would look too tentacley and gross, but I think it works. That's a teeny-weeny little vena cava, though! So thank you for complimenting the two things I was skeptical about, thus boosting my wee little self esteem. ^_^
The Goblin King is a bitch! I tried to draw him like a dozen times, and he was having none of it! I had to lay it down, you know.
