LOL, I assume you don't know yaoi. Ok, so you know anime, right, Japanese cartoons? Well, there is a genre of anime called yaoi which is basically stories about gay men. The character who is considered the top/pitcher/man, whatever you wanna call him, is the seme. The bottom/catcher is the uke. These terms can be used for yuri (lesbian stories) as well, or you can use the terms Tachi (for top) and Neko (for bottom).
