This is truly a magnificent photograph, great job comrade; and I was hoping to inquire as to where you were when you took this remarkable image? were you in a helicopter or on another mountain perhaps?

Hiii late reply this is. There's a stop in Denali NP called Polychrome Pass where you can get off the tour bus and take pictures, so the photo was either taken there or somewhere along the road near there ^^ So it wasn't taken from the air or anything.

Seeing you asked for some serious opinions, let me just write few words. Without a doubt the composition in this one is what will attract people. Classic, but beautiful conception, where river is leading sight through whole picture, gives excellent 3 dimensions feeling. Mountains in the background just fulfill that impression. Colors are another thing. I like them very much, saturation is just right in my opinion. It's very, very nice landscape. The only thing i don't like, is quality. Something tells me, you just uploaded full size image, and deviantart resized it to what we now see. Sadly quality could be much better. When you process your images to upload them to deviantart for example, it's basically good idea to resize it to 900 or 800 (as you want) px, then sharpen and upload such version. Quality will be significantly better compared to what automatic resize algorithms do.

This is truly wonderful. I absolutely adore the wide range of colours you've captured here, not to mention the layers of the image, foreground river, forests, mountains e.t.c....wow.! My one suggestion is that those disappearing mountain tops are a tease! I'd love to have seen more sky, thus more clouds layering down to consume the main focus of the image.
