Description
This is a costume redesign of Rogue, from the X-Men. It was done for X-Jam XIII on the CBR forums .Since Rogue has (some) control over her powers now, I figured she probably wouldn't mind a tiny bit of bare skin. However, I thought I could find somewhere else to put it aside from what's shown by an excessively unzipped jacket! I also thought I might try to infuse a little bit of that sassy attitude of hers that we haven't seen much of lately. Thus, she gets sunglasses... because sunglasses automatically make people cool.
This is also one of my first attempts in a long, long time at a piece with visible linework. I'm still playing with what works and what doesn't, but I'm pretty pleased with the end result.
Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 with a Wacom Intuos 3.

That is sleek.Β My only question is, with Rogueβs powers, should the gloves be that long?Β Seems it would take some doing to get them off if she needed to grab in a hurry.Β Regardless, this is a sweet look.Β Β

You're probably right that the gloves might be a bit impractical.Β I'll admit that my primary motivator was probably, "Does it look cool?"Β Heh.

After I posted, it occurred to me that those may have been regular gloves paired up with matching arm warmers, but if the worst thing about your design is, βthe gloves take a tick longer to yank off,β then youβre well ahead of most comic costume designers.Β And those gloves are definitely worth keeping for the cool factor.

i really like this costume redesign, green really suits her. i like that youve revealed some of her skin as you were saying she will have some control of her powers it makes a lot of sense for someone who had to always cover it to reveal more if they were able to
