this is adorable, and yet not without a slightly sinister edge, which is very subtle. Maybe it's the red tie; to me it suggests a doctor rather than a parent.. now I'll google "Apheleia" and see if that offers any clues

haha, that's a good question... you do tend to use touches of red to direct our eyes to seemingly insignificant parts of the drawing... I always suspect that some sub-text is going on, usually too subtle for lumpens like me to understand. So, I looked up "Apheleia" and I'm none the wiser, really; I mean, it sounds innocuous enough, but in Lily-world, are things ever what they seem?

"Apheleia" was the spirit / personification of ease, simplicity and primitivity in the good sense in Greek Mythology. Thats the biggest clue, seeing how there is always a subtext, hidden meaning, drawing significance into things that I do. The irony is that within what I do there is always something more, in this case, the something more is the pointing out that sometimes there is not something more haha. Self referential if you look at it in the context of what has come before.
