Hehehehehehehehehe. I've had this kinda idea in my head for a while, i love it!The picture explains itself (I hope). The regular guy, kinda likes the heavy music winds up with a trendy "glamour" chick somehow, and while walking down the street spots a real woman! Hehe.
Oh, and the "glamourous" girl is a culmination of all that is horribly trendy, no matter how horrible it looks: the stupid ugly poof, or pomp hairstyle, the trendy huge sunglasses you see everywhere now that just make you look dumb, the horrible orange tan that looks good on NO ONE, the disgusting fake boobs placed a few inches apart on the ribs, and those ugly, scary, long, pointy high-heel shoes! Ick ... What the hell did the cool Rocker guy ever see in this plastic waste of a brain? Damn, i forgot to give her a cigarette to make her even stupider!
I didn't intend this, but it seems to be a funny contrast between skin colours - ORANGE SHOULD ONLY BE A CLOTHING COLOUR, NOT A SKIN COLOUR!!

I am curious as to know what your opinion on naural tanning is. I work outside all summer and by the time I am out there for a week (even with sun block) I am as brown as ever. (my mother actually mistook me for a native american one day at the store when I wasn't facing her) Now, I don't like the fake orange punpkin tan, but I think natural tans and tans lines are kinda cute on girls and sexy as hell on guys?

Natural tans are all right if they're unavoidable, hehe. If someone goes out in the sun specifically to scorch their skin and nothing else, then no. I don't like it so much. But i do agree, sometimes tanlines can be sexy ... i haven't utilized that idea in any of my drawings yet, but i may someday ... my smartsie love just reminded me i did in my Moon Tanning picture ... Also, lol, if you think i'm a chick. I'm a guy. I just come here because i luv the art of ArtmasterJ and over at the BEAC page, that and also some other artists here are fantastic. Like the Lackadaisy Cats guy, he's like better than some 'professional' cartoonists work i've seen. WAY better.

Heh, i woke up along time ago. I used to buy all that Politically Correct BS when i was in HIGH SCHOOL. I.e, when i was actually a child. Then i hit 18 and became mentally more mature than the idiots who thought it up and officially gained the right to call it BS. Everyone has things they like about people and dont like. I dont particularly like women who wear a lot of make up, go figure. But to fall back on the age-old 'counterculture' argument is a sure sign of not having a valid one. Of course we all think for ourselves, but lauding over some morbidly obese chick is asinine. Almost as asinine as pissin and moanin' about how 'Thin Society is keeping us down! Down with Paris Hilton!' cause, yah, people never liked slimmer women before Simple Life hit the airwaves. Only fat chicks before then. You ever see the Venus Rising From The Ocean painting? Whata cow! She couldnt get fired in today's world, LAWL! And then the fact she has armpit hair, a big honker and a pot belly bigger than my worthless boozehound dad and, horror of horrors, flip flops (God! Make it never happened monkey! More so, if your girlfriend can outwalk you, that only tells me you're most likely out of shape reguardless of weight. Anyone who spends that much time writing that much to say how ugly something is doesn't have a very pretty heart, IMHO.....which is ironic, considering what you are trying to prove with this picture

Anyone who spends their life trying to be accepted into a society, being abnormally skinny, wearing tons of makeup, getting boob jobs and lyposuction, will never be happy. Nor will the people who are with them when they finally break from the pressure of being physically perfect.

Oh please. What planet do you live on? If you dont call a chick at least 200+ pounds (the one in the picture) morbidly obese then i guess i dont know how to explain why it is. And screw that about heart disease effecting 'skinny' people, you know as well as i do (assuming you've ever read a news paper or book) that overweight people suffer from it more. Secondly, child? Please, like that idiotic insult has ever done jack. You want to start calling me a child, i ask what your age is? I'm 21 BTW. Thirdly, as much as you hate it, society DOES decide what is attractive and what isnt. Deal. There are some cultures who find obese people attractive you know, in africa no less. Also some who find women with abnormally long necks attractive, and not too long ago Chinese culture considered small, 'broken' feet attractive. Society is the only thing that decides what is attractive, dont like it, go move to another civilization.
And that isnt even beginning to go into how utterly, retardedly exagerated the whole idea is. Nor does it go into how you could possibly consider that 'chubby'. The problem is that some people, mostly people who are hideously ugly themselves, have tried to make ugly deified by saying "we're all beautiful on the inside...you dont need to try and better yourself or look more attractive, everyone is naturally beautiful" which is all crap. Firstly there is NOTHING inside of a human being but blood, bone, muscle and water. If you find that 'beautiful' i suggest you go hunt down some autopsy photos to shake that. Secondly we are NOT all born beautiful, some are, some have togo out of their way to be, and some wallow in ugliness and call it 'inner beauty' as opposed to 'freakin homely'.
But whatever i'm just interesting in this from a position of someone with little to do between looking for pictures of Full Metal Achemist characters, lol. Feel free to go about deifying fat chicks and ugly people, it's heartwarming in a sadly PC kind of way.

"Society is the only thing that decides what is attractive." Phew ... i never thought an artist, or someone interested in art, would allow themselves to become a slave to society like that. Society tries to tell us what we like whether we like it or not. OURSELVES are the only things that decide what's attractive. If you can't create your own idea of beauty then what the hell are you doing on this planet?
I say child, cuz only a child (or someone with the mental awareness of a child) would express views such as the ones you've expressed. Now, i admit i am not much older, but it appears the 5 years i have on you go beyond what they should in regards to free-thinking. I truly feel sorry that you have chosen to live your life based on the wants and desires of others. Maybe you should take some time out and think deeply about the things you truly want and desire.
And there really is no such thing as a 100% ugly person, because there will always be someone out there who is attracted to the "flaw". Popular people, and people who want to be like the popular people, like to try and tell everyone what they're supposed to be attracted to, but people with minds of their own reject that nonsense and develop their own interests.
I'm not trying to tell you to all of a sudden become a lover of fat girls - but to understand that your idea of beauty is not the be-all and end-all for the rest of the world. Like you said, other societies focus on other, 'strange' (normal to them) ideals.
I do recognize that inner beauty is important, but can never be the 100% deciding factor. I realize that one needs to be physically attracted (or at least not physically disgusted) by a person they fall in love with. It's the mind that connects it all. If you fall in love with a body without the mind, then you have a fuck-buddy. If you fall in love with the mind, but not the body you have a best friend. I recognize you need both.
So not everybody is a media slave who follows everything the magazines and tv shows and movies tell them. Some people have their own minds who reject being made an idiot by the media and create their own wants, desires and interests without being afraid that their next door neighbor is gonna complain about how "different" they are.
My girlfriend is over 200 pounds, and is definitely not morbidly obese. Like i said, she can out-walk me, and i walk to and from work a half-hour every day each way. She is healthier than i am as well as being roughly 50 pounds heavier than i am. Her blood tests say that she is at LESS risk of heart disease than *I* am! Heart disease is not determined by weight any more than cancer is.
IF YOU ARE HEALTHY, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU'RE FAT OR THIN! That's the bottom line. Proven time and time again, but since today's trend is to go on diets and be anorexic and bulemic, of course you're gonna see articles all over the place about how to lose weight, and why it's good. It's called profit - a company will spend money on fake doctors to tell you what's right and wrong just so you'll buy into it, because "everyone else is doing it."
Maybe 21 years isn't enough for you to wake up ... but it saddens me to think it should take any longer than that.

I'm actually a guy. And a thin one. And my statement here is that natural women are beautiful. Natural at all sizes. When it's unnatural it is hideous, ugly, and just plain stupid and self-harming. A naturally skinny girl is attractive, too. But you can tell an anorexic or an image-obsessed person when you see'em.
I, myself, tend to prefer a chubbier woman, and they deserve no less admiration because they are usually twice as beautiful as any supermodel, or any over-tanned paris hilton-wannabe.
If you call the bigger girl i drew to be 'morbidly obese', then i am afraid you would be the one who is deluded, child. There are plenty of chubby women out there who are just as healthy as skinny ones. Heart disease, it has been studied and proven, is no less a danger to skinny people as it is to chubby people. I agree there is a certain point in size when it could become an issue, but a girl the size i drew in this drawing would have scores less health problems than the rake-girl i drew on the right.
I am skinnier than my girlfriend, and my girlfriend is about this size - and SHE can out-walk ME! Her cholesterol in her blood is perfect, and mine is a little bit too high! We eat the same things - granted she likes more vegetables than i do - and we walk everywhere.
My goal here is to display that you don't have to starve yourself, burn yourself, follow the latest ugly-hair trends (like that idiot "pomp" shit), and insect sunglasses to be considered beautiful. Just be natural, don't worry about it. Walk everywhere (health is the key - not how thin or thick you are), stop using cell-phones religiously and actually get up to get the phone. Eat what you want, as long as you move during your day. That's all it is.
The "Real" i speak of is just being natural, and NOT purposefully harming yourself for the sake of an image someone ELSE tells you is "correct".
It is exactly this attitute in your comment that i am trying to change little by little in this stupid popular world of hidden media-shepards, guiding their sheep-masses to idiocy so they can be lead to do whatever the shepards want done. Like focusing us on movie/music/pop stars instead of the heinous crimes the government are committing in other countries at the expense of our brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers who have joined the military, etc...

I like the boldness of this artworks. This has much reflected on todays societies. Media, sadly to say is one of the major roles portrayed to convey messages as such many 'real ladies' out there feeling all depressed for themselves. I would say that you had use the media again to convey something strong, and your explainations to that is rather cute in a way 
As for the artwork, I would give a thumbs up for your drawings. fair usages of color alignments and bold outlines given to characters. my most likings would be on how you come out with the character of the 'real women'.
