Hehehehehehehehehe. I've had this kinda idea in my head for a while, i love it!The picture explains itself (I hope). The regular guy, kinda likes the heavy music winds up with a trendy "glamour" chick somehow, and while walking down the street spots a real woman! Hehe.
Oh, and the "glamourous" girl is a culmination of all that is horribly trendy, no matter how horrible it looks: the stupid ugly poof, or pomp hairstyle, the trendy huge sunglasses you see everywhere now that just make you look dumb, the horrible orange tan that looks good on NO ONE, the disgusting fake boobs placed a few inches apart on the ribs, and those ugly, scary, long, pointy high-heel shoes! Ick ... What the hell did the cool Rocker guy ever see in this plastic waste of a brain? Damn, i forgot to give her a cigarette to make her even stupider!
I didn't intend this, but it seems to be a funny contrast between skin colours - ORANGE SHOULD ONLY BE A CLOTHING COLOUR, NOT A SKIN COLOUR!!
It goes out to all the paris hilton wannabes: Would you rather look like exhibit B, on the right? *shudder*
or Exhibit A, in the glorious front? *wink wink, raaow!*

heh, that's an interesting way of looking at it. i'd have nevr thought of shaving as unnatural. maybe because i'm so obsessed with having smooth legs. lol!

Yah, i started out admiring what TV land would call "chubby" or "plus size" which is really just average, and woman-shaped. Size 12-14/16 really isn't big at all. Marilyn Monroe was a size 16. But as i kept making art, i would get more requests from bigger girls to draw bigger girls, heh. And i found i started to admire their shapes as well. But yes, that is where it all started. Fighting for the non-supermodels. In fact, it all started here: [link] (don't mind the horribly intrusive ads).
All people, women especially, worry too much about appearance. So, i try to make the ones that are attacked the most (for no reason, since they are often more beautiful than the "trend" dictates anyway) feel better about themselves.

It's funny you should mention the horribly huge sunglasses thing. All the prep girls at my highschool (alas, I am still in HIGHSCHOOL, but not for long! this is my last year!) wear those goddamn things and it makes them look ridiculous. I never understood the trend with those things. *shakes head* Whatever, a trend is a trend and doesn't have to be logical to be one.

It's wonderful to see pictures like this. It seems that everyone in this day and age, not just the trendy people but others as well, are obessessed with girls being tiny and thin. It's as if society's saying "If you're not this body type, you aren't beautiful" and what kind of image does that send to future generations? Little girls watching TV have 'role models' such as Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan and it's just wrong!

And yes, exactly, it truly scares me and chills me to the bone that little girls under 10, under 8, under 5 are taking these horrible soulless people to be their role models. I sort of have a vain ambition that hopefully enough people will see my work and other BBW work and see that there's more to beauty than being a size 0. I am hoping that i can prevent girls from becoming bulemic or anorexic if they can just see that in at least someone's eyes big girls, fat girls, whatever, are beautiful and sexy, too!
