Description
A lot of you are probably aware of this fun little challenge floating around the internet's art world. I first saw it on yumedust's post ([link] ) a long while ago, and then, randomly, decided to do one myself yesterday.Anyway, I thought for a while about doing the more classic Disney princesses, but then Mulan popped up in the image search and I ran with it. I've only ever seen that movie once so I didn't even know it was a comb in her hair.
I didn't choose a particular artist, but I was kind of basing it off the painting that I found in this article: [link] . By the end of it, my version didn't really resemble the painting much, but I had a lot of fun with so I count it a success.
Also, can I just say this was really, really good practice for going lineless? I agonized over her nose, but I think I might have actually learned stuff by the end of it. I'm planning to do a few more of these, just for the fun and the practice of it. Here is the image I used for this one: [link]
Mulan belongs to Disney, the inspiration painting belongs to an artist I can't find and the work belongs to me. Huzzah, what a collaboration.
