Description
Take from this what you will, if anything at all. It has personal meaning to me, but I'd rather you drew your own conclusions.January 2008
16"x20" linen canvas and
Rembrandt Series 1 oil paint.
Notes: This was entirely painted in oils using various brushes and, of course, paper towels. The "snow" was a mixture of Turpenoid, white oil paint, and silver mica powder hastily thrown together in a spray-bottle.

I remember when I painted this I was quite pleased with the way the footprints came out, it was my first successful attempt at doing something like that. Β Many thanks for the comment!

Thank you for refraining.
And yeah? I'll have to take a look at the original. It's probably that I've seen it, but I never really looked at this one before.

Thank you, wow, amazing, yes i see alot of things in art that is why I love it. I used to always get 90% in history art analyzings in exams...when I was school, then went to another school, there was no art and was forced to do accounting instead ... but biology accomodated slightly with the itching hand that wishes to draw.
(then i drew ion clases i was not supposed to )
Its a pleasure,

Oh my... When I'm looking at this picture, I'm going to be afraid of the winter (because I'm already afraid of nights in forests since I'm 12 ).
Gorgeous work! Impressed me.

I agree with my dear livia, one of your best really...the greyscale works well...i suggest however you use gesso to add texture on your works...keep it up

Thankyou so much.
I'd definitely like to see what I can do with gesso. Thanks for the suggestion. :D

I like the splatter, like time falling in on itself to me...
the mica must look wonderful on this.

Thankyou kindly for your words.
The mica doesn't shine through as much as I would've liked it to, but it adds a bit of texture to the splatters. :)
(now as for the rest of the area... mica sticks to almost anything and everything close enough to it, hah)

I love how you described creating this one! I do similar things as well (spray bottles, paper towels). I think the title is quite inspired. It's a soothing scene with a strange tension to it.
