I like our Texas nine-banded ones better. That is our Official State Roadkill.
Did you know that armadillos are the only animals besides humans that can contract leprosy. Now there's a useless fact for you!
Gorgeous painting. I love your work.

amazing work linda. the subtle effects are more noticable in this detail. particularly the colour variations in the shadow.
do you paint on canvas board or stretchers?
amazing work!

I paint on stretched polyester canvas. Yet lately my supplier has not got any more in so I am trying new canvas's and I have not found one as smooth as I like. I might switch over to clayboards, but I don't think they come as large a sometimes I want. Still searching.
Oh, And thankyou so much.!

what about linen? i have heard that it can be primed, and it is a lot smoother.

Yes, the last trip to the supplier, I found you can sand it, So I am going to do it on the next one. I hear some artist go through a lot of sanding and guesso, and sanding several times. I don't like to mess with that. I just want the right canvas and PAINT.

yeah i sometimes sand and gesso, but it is nice to be able to just sit down and paint too. i have heard of some artists making their own primer and the main ingredient is pva glue. it all depends on what you prefer in the end.
