Yeah, many describe it as a toxic and bad relationship. But let's be honest: Ada is linked to dangerous corporations and despite her affection towards Leon she can't risk his life. Have you ever read City of The Dead?

These type of risky and dangerous romantic relationships I always find very intruding in fiction to consume. Heck they make up a vast majority of those fictional romantic novels I often see in bookstores geared towards women. I agree. I generally think fans of Resident Evil have the wrong idea about Ada Wong. After the events of Raccoon City and learning the truth about her. Leon knows damn well what he is getting himself into by continuing to chase after Ada. Could she be using him and have no feelings for him whatsoever? It is a very strong possibility,but that is a whole lot of work,effort, and time for Ada to be investing in constantly protecting him only to then discard him when he has outlived his purpose for her.
At some point, Capcom needs to put this issue to rest and reveal what is Ada's end game. The mystery and allure has gotten rather stale.
City of The Dead? Does that novel have anything to do with George Romero? I never heard of it.

Let's be honest. Love isn't always flowers, sweet kisses and cute dates. It's like a trap where you accidentally fell in and no matter the circumstances, it can hurt a lot. Fans have the wrong idea of Ada because most of them don't see through her, they stop by her appearance and define her as a 'bad bitch'.
Sure, she may not be as tender and loving as Claire but it doesn't mean she doesn't feel affection towards Leon. In every game and movie (except Damnation) where they're in, both show distance as if there's an invisible wall between them yet both care about the other.
Besides she saved Leon's butt plenty of times (and so did Leon) and I don't think she's as hard as many think. In RE4 she risked a lot by letting him live, let's not forget that Wesker is reckless and wouldn't mind having his hands coated in Ada's blood.
And in RE6? Capcom finally let the players see that under that calm visage there's a storm.
I do really hope that Capcom will give her the recognization she deserves, but hey... everything's going down since REUC
Nono it's a novel written by S.D Perry. Basically it's RE2 but a little more detailed. The author put so much content about Ada and her first and last thoughts about Leon. It's pretty decent in my opinion.

I could not have put it any better than how you perfectly explain the dynamic and reasoning behind Ada and Leon's interaction with each other. Well said there about love. I never really felt that emotion in my life with a woman so I wouldn't be able to offer up my description of how I vee what makes love beautiful and dangerous at the same time.
Capcom took inspiration from the TV show La Femme Nikita with how Ada fall in love with a guy but her boss does not approve of the relationship between them and wants her to kill him. Also one of the official artworks of Ada Wong in her Resident Evil 4 crimson butterfly dress has emulating Nikita by her sitting on the ground with a gun in her hand and looking up. Now I have not seen La Femme Nikita so I have no idea if Nikita and the man she is in love have a better outcome than Ada and Leon.
I see. I did not know there was a novel in relation to Resident Evil 2. It will be worth checking more than ever now with the Resident Evil 2 remake out now just to see the difference between the two.
