I drew this in my Theatre History class. So sorry for the lined paper.
Ya'll know the story of Oedipus? A royal couple is warned by an oracle that their young son, Oedipus, will grow up and slay his father so he can be with his mother. To prevent this they abandon him in the woods and consider the situation solved. However someone finds Oedipus in the woods and raises him themself. Later Oedipus grows up and ends up slaying his father, the King, and marries his mother (they have children together too). He and his mother are both unaware that they are related and when they find out, his mother commits suicide and Oedipus gauges his eyes out.
What an enchanting tale, huh? Betcha Disney would love how I used their characters to portray it.
