Well, that´s the painted version of one of my scraps (check it out, the name is the same). I´ve done that to train on soft cell shading (in truth this is my first time mesing up with this kind of technique. PLEASE drop in your opinion here if you feel to... I really need it ^^Related content

Nice pic, I think it has a cool style, like there's no specific era, just a bunch put together. Since you want advanced critique I'll just say that I'm not so very fond of the hair lines, it's a pattern, but then again it's a style and who's going to argue that huh? ...Okay that's more of an opinion but uh...maybe next time? XD

Yeah, i sometimes think i exxagerate on those patterns as you say. I don´t know if it is or not a bad habit, but i´m kinda addicted on doing this. I can´t stand empty/only-color spaces in the hair i draw lol

Naw~ It's your art, and your style! I happen to think if you have a style, and you like it you should stick with it! (unless of course it makes the person unrecognizable as a person, then ...consider rethinking!) And as I said, it's not bad, I'm just not a fan of it. So that doesn't make it bad just perhaps something for me to get used to~. (yes I rant, sorry~!)

This is a great piece of art! The out fit is greatly detailed and the colors are perfect. The pose is simple yet fitting and to top it all off.... she has gunz lol very nice ^^

It's good stuff. You really did a good job on the light diffusion on the coat. Over all a good piece with pretty good proportions too. The only real issue is that somehow you've made almost all of the draping and folds in the clothes look very flat.
Spectacular colouring job on the rest of the piece though.

You might try to lighten the lines of the folds to perhaps a brown. The harsh black for the folds gives it too much of a harsh rigid feel , opposed to the soft flowing fabric that composes the rest of the jacket.

In this drawing i was rushing like hell lol if you full view it you´ll notice that the lines aren´t even cleaned properly. All i wanted to do was training soft cell shading with a good enough drawing, so i didn´t pay attention on more details. Silly me -_-
I tried to lighten up just some parts of the drawing, while keeping them dark enough to not to make them mix so much with the fabric colors. I tend to make my drawings in darker tones and with lots of lines (somehow unconsciously). Apparently, in this aspect, i failed xD
Also, i´m very greatful for your insight.

I can't really do soft cell or cell shading to save my life. I think it came out pretty darn good for your first try at it... I think the trick to soft cell is very thing lines. I love the collars on the jacket and the inner one on her dress. The legs look pretty awsome too I like the way the knee came out especially on the right. As for the drawing instelf I really like the way you make the jacket's folds flow as she walking, that just always looks so pretty to me.
