Happy Godzilla Month everybody. Remember back in late July when I submitted those two Godzilla sprite sheets? In the wake of finishing them both and revamping the Godzilla Forever symbol, I began to experiment. It was sort of just me playing around, but then I eventually realized that I had stumbled into something good. Yes folks - another sprite that happened by accident.

So here it is - MY Godzilla 2000. And it happened the way I wanted it to, using the snout that I had originally intended for this sprite, but ended up using for Gorgo. I always sort of saw 2000's snout to be more rounded than predecessors and successors of the King of the Monsters role. Plus, 2000 is the one time without a doubt where the REAL Godzilla was green. Interesting, isn't it? The only problem I had with 2000 is that his spikes were indeed purplish pink. I admit that I remember only the tips having purple hints to them and the rest being silver, but while making these spikes I decided - SCREW IT - and just made them purple all together.
I had been wanting to make a sprite like this for the longest time now - but I was always nervous about approaching the project. A main problem I have with making a Sprite is that it cannot look in any way similar to a sprite that someone has already done. Which basically means, that I had to be sure that my spikes came out looking nothing like the ones done but Burninggodzillalord.

The last sprite I did before this was my updated Orga. Now with the pair of them released, the set feels more complete. So, I've been waiting to show you this since July. And I gotta say it wasn't an easy wait. Mainly cause I was tempted to use the spikes I'd created here on Mega Godzilla, but that would've ruined the surprised.

For those of you who wonder why I waited 10 days before unveiling this when the trailer said I would unveil it on the 3rd - well here's why. I was hesitant to proceed because even after 2 weeks before the beginning of November, I hadn't received any sort of comment or verification from certain parties that they had indeed seen it. I wanted to give them more time for them to come forward and acknowledge - yes we see the trailer, and we're anxiously waiting for the sprite's unveiling. But sadly it never came. I soon began to realize that odds are it IS likely that they did see the trailer but just decided not to comment on it anyway - which vastly disappoints and saddens me
