I mentioned to you before that the story of Ghidrah was a strange case, but as I should've said, it was the beginning of a series of strange cases. As I type this report for you to read, I can't help but be reminded of the Star Trek TV series. And I wouldn't be so far out of line to suggest that these events would partially be the inspiration for the series. It is that strange.

Some of these events may be hard to explain. But try as I might, I feel that I must begin with the battle between Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and Ghidrah. As Godzilla had tossed the large dragon off of the cliff. He had suffered a severe beating at the hands of the three creatures. He took off into space. Though, he couldn't go very far let alone return to his own galaxy. So what was to become of him?

In 1965, a startling discovery was made. A small planet was between the orbit of Jupiter and Saturn. It was nearly the size of earth. It was indeed barren being so far away from the sun, yet thermal scanning showed the surface to be quite hot. It was indeed strange. Man had to know these secrets.

Having developed a new longer lasting energy source for space travel, the Japanese sent two pilots (one American, one Japanese) into Space to visit the new planet.

They had just passed Mars and were making their way around Jupiter. It wasn't long before the tiny planet came into view. Suddenly their radio's began operating on an unknown frequency. Much static came through, but soon, words were picked up. (Upon returning to earth, they learned that the message was picked up all the way on the planet as well.) From a planet 15 million miles beyond the stars came a strange message.

"Lend us your Rodan and Godzilla to fight our Monster Zero."
