Description "For the First time...Man and Dinosaur...Shared the Earth...
It all happened at a place called...Jurassic Park...
In the summer of 1993...Director Steven Spielberg took us there...
This summer...Director Colin Trevorrow...
...Will take us Back..."

Welcome...to Jurassic Park

I'm sure that today and my motives for this comic need no introduction. On June 11th, 1993...Through the combined efforts of renowned writer, Michael Crichton, visionary director Steven Spielberg, the breath-taking special effects of Stan Winston and Dennis Muren, and the acting talents of Sam Neil, Richard Attenborough and Laura Dern, culminating over two years of hard work...we as Children - some of us, younger than others - ...were taken on an adventure to the most...wonderful place in the entire world.
Jurassic Park...
An historic vision of film-making so astounding...that it captured the imagination of the entire planet...and fired it. For perhaps the first time since their discovery in the late 1800's, Dinosaurs were presented to mankind, in a scientifically accurate fashion - forever challenging the way we used to look at all dinosaurs that had come before them. And coupled with ground-breaking special effects in CGI and animatronic puppeteering, the world would never be the same.

I have to tell you guys...I've been wanting to do a Jurassic Park comic for years now. I almost had to do one back in November when I got the bad news about Richard. The point is...growing up the way I did...Jurassic Park was my everything. It was my all time favorite movie; the one movie I would willingly take over All-Things Godzilla any day. I love the movie so much that I STILL have NOT watched the Honest Trailers, Cinemasins, or Nostalgia Critic videos regarding it. To me, this movie is perfect as is, and whatever flaws it has, do not need to be examined...And I have to say, this is a very emotional moment for me...I'm even tearing up while typing all of this up.
The point of the comic is...well...after the "Mixed-Reactions" to the Sequels, and rumors of on and off again Jurassic Park IV projects - with all the rewrites and cancellations...I was beginning to think the series would never see the light of day again.
And then Jurassic World was announced. Part of me didn't think it was real. Mainly cause they went with the Chaos-Effect plot idea. But as impressive as the trailers seemed...there was always one thing that bothered me. I understood why the movie itself was called "Jurassic World"...However...What bugged me was the fact that within the movie, the park was called Jurassic World. And what upset me even more was the fact that the park was on Isla Nublar...
The point is, after two sequels taking place on Isla Sorna...our great return to Isla Nublar was finally here, and we weren't even going back to Jurassic Park.
That's what this comic was about. It's about my feeling uneasiness about going in there...But also about me realizing that even if it's bigger and more polished...It's still Jurassic Park underneath. So I did this comic to celebrate that. I hope you all enjoy it.

My little monologue up there is a reference to one of the original Teaser trailers for Jurassic Park back before it came out in 1993; you can probably find it on Youtube if you really want to.

I guess there's nothing else to say except...

Happy Birthday, Jurassic Park

Oh man ... That was beautiful! Let the tears be shed, and the feels be experienced!

The original movie was our childhood's and beyond. And even with the name change, I am so happy that the park has re-opened its doors.

You nailed such an emotional response .

P.S - LOVE that friggin nod you put in the last panel to a certain game .
