Description
A moment of peace shared between a knight and his lady. The artist wanted to show a deeper love than just passion or lust, but the peace that comes from being with someone who accepts you completely for who you are. She describes it as that one person you can always be yourself around, and that love that's just because you are, and not for what you do.Related content

Wow. You know, usually, there's one thing that denotes the emotional impact of a piece, be it expression, pose, colour. But here, you've managed to combine all the elements of the painting to maximum effect, and by keeping the contact simple and subtle, the power of the impact on the viewer is just amazing. I've never had such a relationship to date, but the painting gives me a glimpse of what it feels like, which is a difficult thing for a picture to do.
And on a technical sidenote, having attempted to paint chainmail in oil recently, you have my sincere admiration for the great job you did with the knight's mail vest.
