Description
My submission for the RC Squad's three color contest!It features Darman (in his original white armour, no less!) examining the Daywing insects in the first Republic Commando novel, Hard Contact. (Credit to author Karen Traviss, of course.)
I thought the Daywings were a great allegory to the lives of the clone soldiers. As described, they hatch in the morning and die in the evening, giving them only one short day to flit around so beautifully. A brief and glorious existence, indeed.
3 Colors -
I used white, many shades of blue, (I'm not sure if should be listing them all here for the contest.) and black. (There's a titch of grey/light black in there which I am listing as a shade of black.)

(And yeah, once I had the picture to look at, the hands took no time at all. Silly me for not thinking of it sooner, I made myself nuts trying to just draw it from my mind's eye.)

Thank you!! LOL Would you believe it was the hands that gave me the most trouble? I had to get my sister to photograph me with my hands in the position I needed to have a reference picture to draw from.
