Did I forget to mention that I sculpt? This is one of my current Super-Sculpy WIP, of which I have many. Eventually this adorable little guy will be painted to look like silver and will take his place atop a wig I am currently embellishing for a future photo shoot.He measures 5" long, 3" tall, and 3" from front to back. I used aluminum foil and wire for the armature.
All that is left is some final tweaking and smoothing, then baking and painting.
Thanks for checking him out - I know the image quality sucks. I'm gonna move this image to scraps as soon as I remember how.........

yeah, I often encounter missunderstatement when beeing ironic - gotta work on that. I'm not sure you have the same kind of sausages in the US, but texture, curly form and color reminded me instantly of those thingies.
