Description Took this back in November when we went to London with college.

This is a shot of the Weather Project instillation in the foyer of Tate Modern.

If you havent actually seen it, it glows a fantastic red/orange, unfortunately i only have B&W film on me at the time. d0h!

anyway, it was taken with an Olympus OM-1 camera (fully manual) and alot of effort went into getting it perfect in the darkroom

hope you like it!

aaaah, the Tate Modern! Brings back lovely memories!

I really enjoy this photo - the composition, cropping as well as the contrast fit together quite harmoniously causing the viewer to become part of it and nearly sense the heavy mist linger on their very skin.

Well done!

I like the dark and the light, they are giving a good one two punch.

The only part I don't like is the globe up the top - Don't know what it looks like in RL but here it's unnaturally bright.

The use of B&W combined with the great lighting gives a great sense of anonymity - if you could brush or clone the far wall over the globe I think it would enhance this feeling. A big empty hall with faceless people.

Still, I like it as it is.

Would you mind if I played about with this some?

I'm not saying I could improve it but I wouldn't mind having a go. Looking for something different to do atm.

I'll understand though if you don't want me molesting your work.

thanks for the input

The big disk in the centre was part of an art exhibit.
It was a big massive orange disk full of floresent lighting.
It was meant to represent the sun and thats why it looks so bright

this really is magnificent.
and i'm sorry you didn't have any color film on you at the time (if that's what you wanted),...but,...
i love it in black and white.
i think it would have taken away from the tranquil, almost haunting atmosphere if it had been in color.
very nicely done.

Beautifully balanced photograph. I'm a big fan of this sort of light setting and you have captured a dream like quality within the frame.

Very nice indeed.

PERFECT. simply beautiful. i love how all the figures are sillhouettes, and how they fade off as they come closer to the light. the little baby walking towards the light is also a wonderful touch. the glow emanating from the window - gorgeous. definitely your best work thus far (that I've seen).

The white parts are really nice, i can just think back to how overpowering the feeling of orange was in that room. The people are faceless and with nodetail. Just how they should be.

Seems more like a church to me, heh

The white is slightly overwhelming, but it adds a nice element to the picture. The silhouettes of the people adds a nice touch, as being able to see the detail on the people may well have spoiled the picture.

Nice

Wonderfull shot, i like the contrast and lighting conditions of this shot, the silouette effect is amazing, and i love how natural everything seems, no staged models or props, very well done, too bad you didnt have color, but its good none the less.
