Ok, I know this pic is a little risque, but c'mon, it's Midna! This is just a mock-up; I'm not using these fabrics, so the colors are just a coincidence. And I didn't forget the other arm, it's just that I have the pattern for one arm so why make two?Also, I was watching a video on YouTube, and I noticed that Midna's robe is actually a billow-sleeved robe, unlike what we all thought to be a giant cape. Just watch the part in the video where Midna walks up to the staircase leading to the portal and you'll see what I'm talking about. You can see the turquoise lining peeking out at the edges. Also it's much easier to make it with big sleeves rather than the cape version, but that's just my opinion.

Well, the shape of the damn cloak is very hard to get right. If you don't do one spot right, it screws up the rest of the shape.

I'm surprised you said you won't use this cloth. It looks so wow already... all you have to do is add the patterns and it'll totally work out.

You're totally welcome! And it's great that you're considering every bit of detail about this cosplay-- more specifically, the types of cloth that you will use. I was curious as to whether sewing through the type you chose earlier was going to be trouble, but I guess it's better via silk now. Lookin' forward to your amazing progress

Yeah, I figured the charmeuse would be to difficult to sew on 'cause it slips all over the place. And because the store is sold out of it.
