Perrin is a puss man, I kind of hate reading his story. There is so much tension between him and Faile that could be handled with some transparency in communication. Also, what's the deal with a person from a very different culture than him (Faile) expecting all kinds of behaviors and traditional conventions of him when she knows that he doesn't know what she wants? I've never really cared for their story because it's so frustratingly illogical, to me.

Well in the communication department, Rand isn't much better. half of reading his story is me yelling at the book "Just talk to him/her/them about it!" but I get the feeling it's sorta like that across the WoT board at this point. you'd think with Egwene's dreamwalking she'd be the master networker for everyone who's anyone on the continent, but I guess she's to involved in trying to retake her Aes Sedai.
(keep in mind I've only read up to the first half of Winter's Heart, since I can't seem to get through that book for the life of me.)
but yeah, Rand is by far the most Emo out of the three guys. Personally, I've always been a Mat fan myself.

Yeah, Rand is cool because he's the Dragon so he's got all kinds of cool power, but his thing about not killing women is laborious, though I think after Memory of Light things get better for the brooder in Rand. He gets a redemption of sorts that was long in the making. Mat is by far the coolest, I am super stoked to find out about all the prophecies regarding him. Yeah...Perrin sucks

My main frustration with Rand is just that despite all the bad things he's got going for and towards him (And I know there are a lot, don't get me wrong.) he also has a lot of good things going for him too. but he just always seems so wrapped up in his angst and funk that he refuses to enjoy anything.
