Without a shadow of a doubt 100% my Favorite of the Doctors. Compassionate, wise, unpredictable, flippant, and dat voice. I'm going to post my favorite quote from #8. Some context: Lucie and the Doctor are aboard an abandoned space station that has been run by robots for years. they and the good robots, who worship an entity called "Protocol", are being chased by evil robot pirates. The good robots panic and cry out for Protocol to save them. Lucie spits and basically calls their Protocol idea silly and stupid. The Doctor chastises her and says,
"Nothing which gives people hope and strength is 'stupid'... praise be to Protocol."
To me it just epitomizes everything #8 was. He was so troubled, but always so sympathetic.
