Grounded Videos, the types of videos that made GoAnimate popular, and ruined it too, but did you know that there is the opposite of grounded videos? These videos are called Ungrounded Videos, videos where a character does something good (or bad) and gets ungrounded/rewarded for it. I'll give you some reasons why I really dislike these types of videos.
1. They are incredibly boring, most of these videos are just characters acting nice to each other.
2. Most of the characters getting ungrounded are portrayed as May Sues/Gary Stus, as an example is that in 2017-2019, Caillou (with hair), Rosie and Lily, had so many ungrounded videos, they were just acting nice, and somehow had a lot of stans.
3. Most reasons to get ungrounded are ridiculous, bland, and lazy. Examples: doing literally nothing, grounding someone the uploader hates, grounding someone the uploader likes, behaving in a restaurant, making a rant on something the uploader hates, making a salute on something the uploader likes, doing something mean to someone the uploader hates, saying "no (something the uploader hates)" or " yes (something the uploader likes)".
4. Like other GoAnimate videos, they are very repetitive (most of them), lacking creativity.
5. Going back to the 2017-2019 Caillou stans stuff, most of these videos only exist because Caillou stans couldn't stand Caillou gets grounded videos.
6. The parents are pretty mean, they don't care about the other members of their family, they only care about the peacemakers.
7. Just like grounded videos, the title spoils the whole video.
8. Most ungrounded videos, the character was not grounded in the beginning, so if the character has not been grounded before, what is the point of getting ungrounded?
9. Some of the reasons to get ungrounded are very cruel to troublemakers, when a troublemaker does something to a peacemaker, they get grounded and punished for it, but when a peacemaker does something bad to a troublemaker, they get ungrounded and rewarded for it, no mather the order, and you know what the worst part is? Most viewers don't care about the troublemakers, and only care about the peacemakers, probably because most viewers of these types of videos are children.
10. Some of them even have things that are illegal and then the character is somehow ungrounded for doing a certain illegal thing, for example, killing troublemakers.
And those were all the reasons why I don't like ungrounded videos, in general I give this type of videos a 2/10, most of them are very boring but they could be worse, if you want to make a good ungrounded video, please don't make the character who will get ungrounded a Mary Sue, don't make them act nice the whole video, make an original plot and add some comedy and actual character development to it.
