Anyone remember this show? Beetlejuice was such a jerk. I suppose thats why kids loved him, though. For some reason, murky memories of this cartoon recently surfaced, so I had to do a little fanart tribute.Ink & photoshop CS
You may be interested in seeing the raw linework . Everything was drawn by hand except for the oval frame. Of course, I created a repeating pattern to fill in the background.
I would be remiss if I didnt include the theme song to the show.
Its good to be drawing again.

I loved this cartoon show as a kid and I still love it today! I loved the cartoon because it was funny and it had good values interwoven in the story (like how lies became skeletons in your closet and would be found out by the people you lied to). They just don't make good cartoons like that anymore.Β

I wanted to let you know that I keep finding this image for sale on items on eBay. Some examples are this Magnet ( www.ebay.com/itm/Beetlejuice-C⦠), this Zipper Pull ( www.ebay.com/itm/Beetlejuice-C⦠), and this ID Name Holder Clip ( www.ebay.com/itm/Beetlejuice-C⦠) There is even more like bottle openers, ornaments, pocket mirrors, etc. None of the listings that I looked at said where the person got the image, so I thought I'd let you know in case you didn't want this person to be selling your art.
I've had to contact people on eBay before for selling my own art without my knowledge or permission, and it irritates me when it happens. So I thought I should at least contact you and let you know this is happening.

Kind of remember this show. The idea of hell as a place where everyone is actually overly polite must have made an impression on me because it's what I recall the most clearly. Ranks up there with the Addams Family and the Grinch on making valid points about such things - 'different' does not automatically equal 'scary', etc.

I remember this cartoon! I used to watch it on a telly when I was a kid and also it used to be on RTE and ITV/BBC.
I think this cartoon was banned in America because it teaches kids to eat BUGS!! Ugh! That sounds really disgusting!!

actually, in the cartoon, Bj was a pretty good guy. not so much a jerk as a prankster and troublemaker. but he was pretty good whenever he was with Lydia, for the most part.
