Science FICTION. Not Science fact.

And that's why the Krogan fail. Because they're not flexible enough.

Yes, but good Sci-fi is believable and immersive. That's just retarded. Why even use tanks? Why don't the elites just flip the scorpions over all the time?

Yeah but in the first Halo my marines could kill elites...lol

So a race of lesbian psychics with perfect physiques that live for a thousand years and get bigger boobs when they grow old is believable?

Only in a Hentai flick.......

"Asari have a robust cellular regenerative system. While they do not heal faster than other species, asari are known to reach 1000 years of age. "

Many creatures on earth live 1000s of years. Though they are simple creatures like sponges and most come from the sea(As the Asari may also come from.) Many species on earth are also capable of cellular regeneration in a way even more miraculous than Asari, though Asari's regeneration prevents them from aging(Lobsters also do not age.) some creatures regenerate limbs and organs. The perfect physique is another example of simply not aging.(Though that's not a valid argument, as every character in every single game has what you could call a perfect physique. Since the character models share the same bodies, and they are all tone, fit, slender for women and muscular for men.)

And on another note Asari are the most technologically advanced species in the universe. Human technology has brought the average lifespan from around 80 to 150. The Asari with their regeneration and even more advanced technology naturally would live very long. Not to mention Asari are an example of the flame that burns slow and steady, they even mention that humans are fast, ambitious, violent, and strong compared to them.

"During melding, an asari consciously attunes her nervous system to her partner's, sending and receiving electrical impulses directly through the skin. A common phrase used before melding is "embrace eternity," presumably to help focus the partner's mind. Effectively, the asari and her partner briefly become one unified nervous system. This unique means of reproduction is the reason asari are all talented biotics. Their evolved ability to consciously control nerve impulses is very similar to biotic training. The partner can be another asari, or an alien of any gender. However, since the asari began encountering other sentient species, non-asari mates have become preferred for the diversity they provide. This reproductive process can lead to some confusion among non-asari, who might expect offspring with "mixed" genes. However, the offspring is always 100% asari as no DNA is taken from the partner, but is rather used as a "map" to randomize the genes of the offspring. "

Basically there is the explanation for the biotic ability. Asari aren't lesbians, they're mono-gendered and don't consider themselves female, the familiar female shapes are a product of being child bearing and selective traits relevant to caring for their young. Breasts to feed their young, hips for child bearing.

Asari boobs do not get bigger as they grow older. I can't say why some of the older Asari have such big boobs (but some do share the same character model as the younger ones.) But I'd assume it's more of an art direction. To make the character look more mature.

They address it in ME3. Kenneth in the engine room sees how Matriarch Benezia and Samara have such big melons.

All that lore was still used to justify a species that was in all intents and purposes, fanservice. Though, I really would have done the same thing in their shoes. =3

Explain Liara's father then, or how Samara and Morinth have the same body despite different ages.

Morinth is perhaps also quite old. And Liara's father is counted as an oddity among her people.

That's because they were still making the game up......also, the marines in H1 are overpowered.

Still, any game where flipping a 60 ton(120,000lb) machine like a pancake and having it fall gently on the ground is considered canon is a little too stupid for me. I'm not enough of a basic/competitive fps player to care for something like that.

The armor enhances their strength. Also, as said before, Superman can do the same despite not weighing 1000 pounds (which Chief does, btw)

I would assume the Elites either had heavier gravity back home, or use stims while in combat. That's a logical reason. Saiyans from Dragon Ball Z can also lift a continent without weighing 5000 pounds. Yet they explain it by saying that their homeworld had heavier gravity. heavier gravity training doesn't make you overweight, it does the opposite, but it makes you stronger on low gravity worlds.

Superman is not Science fiction, there is no science behind superman at all, he is a superhero who can spin around the earth and turn back time. =/

DBZ is an eastern fantasy, they vary greatly from western. There are very little bounds and weak explanations for the way something exists. Force needs mass, power needs mass, it can not come from nowhere.

And yes actually heavy gravity training WOULD make you overweight. Astronauts in space with less gravity lose bone and muscle mass quickly, making them lighter. Haven't you ever seen Wall-E? (Though not entirely realistic..) people in high gravity could eventually evolve to be that way. Just as people in high gravity would evolve to be heavier, stockier, denser bones and muscles.

To simplify it: Greater strength = Greater bone and muscle mass/density = heavier weight.

Not really, since in DBZ, heavy gravity training doesn't make Goku weigh like Jabba the Hutt, but makes him stronger.

You aren't comprehending...For muscles and bones to become stronger they need to become denser, or bigger. Bigger and denser bones and muscles weigh more. That is the end of it.

The writers of DBZ did not take any of this into account, because they are not writing a sci-fi epic, they were writing Children's cartoons.

Science fiction bends the rules all the time. And as I said before, how likely is it for a species to evolve without a male gender? The Asari are a man's dream come true, but in real life, they're implausible.

Plus, if you try to explain that their features were modeled by the Protheans, then why aren't they militaristic imperialists with the knowledge of and intentions of stopping the Reapers, like the Protheans themselves? The Asari pretty much say that they could have conquered the entire galaxy but did not want to. But had the Protheans truly been involved, they should be drafting every species into a galactic empire with the intention of wiping out the Reapers.

I don't really know what you're talking about now. I don't recall mentioning that their features were modeled after the protheans.

But respond to me in a note if you want to specify.

This isn't a forum, it's a deviation; a deviation that we've spammed with way too many comments now.

No problem, it's still a cool idea, the rambling helps paint a picture of what it could be with a little more patience/effort.

I'll look forward to it if it's in the works. You're welcome.
