Description
This is a commission I have been working for some time for Prussian. I tried a different painting technique this time around using more texture. I also used googlesketchup (my new favorite resource) to quickly get the perspective on the pillar. The runes are from [link]Hope you like it!

I love that the perspective helps showcase the runes in the spell and adds interest to the woman's face.

Hmmmm...Those runes remind me a little of that shield thing Dante has in his royal guard style in DMC3...

Love the runes, they're really impressive, along with the rest of this piece. You're very talented.

I like this new technique of yours, because the textures add a lot to the painting! I also really love the perspective you've chosen of the character, it makes the whole so much stronger! Also, using two lightsources is just amazing in my book, to be honest I struggle with just one!

reminds me of an interpretation of the role playing game World of Darkness: Mage: The Awakening (particularly because of the runes used.
Really cool work, so keep it up.

Love your work . The character's perspective is great, but in comparission to the environment is a little off.

Yeah, the other pillar is bugging me really bad. The base angles are off. I was going to fix it before submitting it to Expose.

[link] Scroll down and you will see the quick 3D render I made to help the people on conceptart see how the girl and pillar interact (originally I just used sketchup for the pillar but I integrated it into DAZ to show people what I was doing with it). It's a tricky angle that may be hard to visualize for some. The horizon is not visible. We are looking down.

Good deal. Find the horizon line then go from there that should solve the prospective problem.
