Full view please.No, this is not Fran. It's just a random Viera. I think she looks enough like Fran to be her sister perhaps. Viera are a very refined race in the video game Final Fantasy 12 (by Square Enix) for those who don't know.
It's a piece for and done to his specifications.
I used myself as pose reference. I did take a few glances at mountain and cloud ref, but then I made up my own stuff. I used the default grass brushes a lot. Overall I am very happy with everything here. I put a lot of work into that skin tone. Many hours of tweaking. I hope you all enjoy it.

Go for it. I mean if you think about it, the grass and mountains are very simple. What makes them work is the atmosphere and subtle textures (grass and such). And the grass brush worked great except I did go in and tweak the brush settings to do a grass flip every now and then, otherwise the grass was only in one direction. Even the "trees" on the mountains were done with the grass brush.

I know and when you tell this the way you do, it looks so simple but I know it is not so, it it always difficult to catch the perfect balance, the perfect colour scheme for backgrounds and you worked magic here, it complements the great beauty you painted, it sets her off so well that is why I wrote you my comment full of praise and admiration, but hey, I am a great admirerer of your art, I can learn a lot here, so thanks for the inspiration, it is a beacon that beckons me to do better.

how long you spend on it? oh and what sort of brushes you use?

I spent somewhere around 25 hours on it I would guess. And I use the default hard round brush set to "other dynamics" on pen pressure to start and then the soft round brush set to "other dynamics" on pen pressure to blend it all. Then I used the grass brush for the grass and some speckled brushes for the skin textures and ground textures. It's a fine balance of hard and soft edges.

sweet piece. love the skin tone. other than the nails both on the feet and hands, i have no complaints( they seem to be post-production). the time put into it really shows. keep up the good work.

They were definitely not post production. They were one of the first things I did, but Veira nails are quite dark and long. But thanks.
