Full view please.No, this is not Fran. It's just a random Viera. I think she looks enough like Fran to be her sister perhaps. Viera are a very refined race in the video game Final Fantasy 12 (by Square Enix) for those who don't know.
It's a piece for and done to his specifications.
I used myself as pose reference. I did take a few glances at mountain and cloud ref, but then I made up my own stuff. I used the default grass brushes a lot. Overall I am very happy with everything here. I put a lot of work into that skin tone. Many hours of tweaking. I hope you all enjoy it.

The viera is just gorgeous!! You used the default grass brushes didn't you? It's kind of obvious... try painting them by hand! You definitely have a grasp of light and shadow so you could do a great job. The viera looks great and so lifelike while the background looks flat and fake.

Using a default brush is still painting them by hand. After all, I used default brushes to paint the figure. Several grass stems in the front are done by "hand" as well using a custom brush. Several high profile digital artists out there say spending your time painting every single strand of grass is a waste of time, that creating brushes or using preexisting brushes at your disposal is a much better way to get your work to your clients faster. Granted it does need to look good.
Flat and fake huh? Point taken. I think if I had added more elements throughout it might have pulled it together better. Perhaps some more color variations and atmospheric hills would have helped. Thanks for the crit.

And that rich, light tan skin tone was worth the effort. Incredibly sexy young lady wearing a delightful skimpy outfit even with the very realistic bunny ears. Was someone shooting arrows at her? I am glad they missed.

Y'know, as I recall, Fran has a sister in FF12... I think her name was Mjrn... All the Viera names were very Scandinavian. Crap, I need to replay that game, or I'd know this stuff!
