Description 12x16" 30x40cm acrylic on hardboard

You wouldn't know it, but I spent several days playing with this painting; re-doing everything from the colors to the building to the lines (which still look wrong). Normally I reach a point fairly early were I decide to cut my losses and move on, but I had nothing to move on to, so I just continued to play around with this. Again, I've tried to do shadows without (a lot) of blues. And if I'm going to paint a building, I really need a reference to give it some detail, but I'm not good a copying... so it's sort of a catch 22. On the plus side, spring is still 6 weeks away, so painting spring provides some comfort.

The white touches on the windows is a little heavy, but over all its really great Chuck!

Nice color sceme, Your strokes seem bolder than usual with this one, probably cause you worked longer
on it? For some reason Renoir or French abstract comes to mind with this one, I don't know if that makes sense, Just a first impression, I do like it though Chuck, the Townhouse is a nice change!

It was originally much foggier and shadowier and I would have like to have be able to paint the building with less lame clutter as well, so the details all around would have been missing. Ended up as sort of a mish-mash of more and less detail for no particular reason except 'Enough is enough already!'.
